Bought a High Five bun last night for today's breakfast. After i finished it half, i noticed something wedged into the bottom crust on one slice. Upon examining it further, it appeared to be something black... maybe a grain, I had hoped. But, no... IT WAS A BUG!!!! Thankfully, I noticed it before eating it! I wondered there is another bug and i have swallowed it earlier. How disgusting! No holes were present in the bag anywhere that I could find, & it was obviously molded into the crust during production or packing. The expiry date is 5th March 2010.
Blur.. As i am using my normal camera to shot this picture. Anyway, i can see this ugly bug's legs and it was mad disgusting!!
High Five used to produce all its products in Nilai Bakery, Negeri Sembilan. The plant in Nilai was raided on Sept 6 2006 by officers from the Health Ministry, Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry, the police, Department of Islamic Development, Negri Sembilan Immigration Department, State Religious Affairs Department, Nilai Municipal Council and Malaysian Muslim Consumers Association.
The authorities found the bakery used a releasing agent that did not have halal certification, that its halal certification had expired and the floor was DIRTY.
