This was my first time been to Mum's Place. Prior to this, i have heard many friends been to Mum's Place so i guess it must be good and we finally decided to try. Mum's place is situated in the new hip residential area in Damansara Perdana. From the outside, it's all tinted glass on windows and main door. I thought the restaurant was closed until i see properly, there was some lights reflecting from the main door. We didn't have plan to go to Mum's Place for dinner, as we both was not so hungry and simply wanted to go to Friendster's Cafe for some light meals. Unfortunately, it is closed.
Inspired by traditional home recipes, Mum’s Place brings you the goodness of Malaysian and local Portuguese cuisine. Mum’s place is a nicely decorated, furnished with lotsa wooden artifacts. The design for this restaurant has the mixture of Balinese, Thai and also Baba Nyonya. Customers are allow take picture here on those unique and beautiful antiques and interior design of the restaurant. Very comfortable and friendly environment. I would say this is not a very high end restaurant, maybe slightly higher than normal restaurant. The floor is just old semen without any touch up. But that's not important, with those unique decorations and traditional interior and antiques that brings the restaurant even more attractive and special. We were lucky, as we got our table immediately, despite the place was rather busy. Service was brisk once we were seated and foods served faster than i was expected.

Chicken Mayo
Foo Yong Omelette. Steven said i am from 'fu yong' aka Seremban. So we must order this dish, cos it's same name as my hometown. LOL!!

We settled our bill around RM64 for two. Mum’s place certainly isn’t the cheapest, but the excellent food and very nice environment more than make up for the price. I’ll definitely go there again. By the way, it is Halal too.
Overall Rating: 3.5/5
Price: Slightly expensive
Service: Good
Ambiance: Very homely with the feel of Balinese, Thai and Baba Nyonya. Air-con. Comfortable.
