Last weekend, we went to watched Avatar in 1U shopping center. Steven wanted to get the 3D ticket and we thought we able to get it as we reached the cinema quite early and it was the first show on that day. Unfortunately, there was only few seats left at the first row from the cinema screen. So we got no choice and bought the normal ticket.

James Cameron creates a new world where you are sure to feel gooseflesh by experiencing the novel and unique treatment never seen before. The director brings forth such an exquisite new world which has every single element to take your breath away. The film is a blend of novelty, aestheticism, technical treatment and minutely detailed presentation. At no time in the movie, you will feel that there is absence of plot. The movie heralds the beginning of the CGI and 3-D cinema with its special effects and shock treatment.

The plot is simple but highly engaging. It brings out a futuristic world where the US Armed Forces are seen discovering a priceless mineral in Pandora, a distant moon orbiting a star. The Forces intend to tame the Na’vi inhabitants before securing the mineral from the moon. So, instead of sending their scientists and rocket launchers, the Forces decide to send the human beings who shall take over the get up of a Na’vi. These humans aim at infiltrating the race that always stands up for peace. They also want to know all about their strengths and weaknesses.

And now enters Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) who is endowed with this task of getting among the Na’vi people and disturbing the peace environment of the area. In no time Jake falls in love with Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) who happens to be the daughter of the Na’vi chief. The love plot weaves excellently into the fabric of the main plot and hence one finds it refreshing than being out-of way.

‘Avatar’ is an Indian word and thus the Indian audience will find several connotations in the movie. The flick is a complete cinematic experience and stands out a work of technical superiority. Cameron intends to spread out a message to save the world before it is too late. He does not introduce any preachy or moralistic tone in the movie yet very candidly warns human being to abstain from his destructive tendencies in order to keep the race of human surviving on the earth. Though there are no big names in the movie, yet they succeed in gaining over the interest and attention of the audience. To sum up, ‘Avatar’ is a must watch and you are sure to feel every moment of it!

Twilight Saga - New Moon

Went out to watched New Moon with Steven at Cinneleisure yesterday.

I am a fan to The Twilight Saga. But not consider as a hardcore fan. I have all the 4 books. And now i have finished half of the book of Eclipse, the third book of Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer.

The Story line:
After Bella recovers from the vampire attack that almost takes her life, she looks to celebrate her birthday with Edward and his family. However, a minor accident during the festivities results in Bella's blood being shed, a sight that proves too intense for the Cullens, who decide to leave the town of Forks in Washington, for Bella and Edward's sake. Initially heartbroken, Bella finds a form of comfort in reckless living, as well as an even closer friendship with Jacob Black. Danger in different forms awaits.

“New Moon” effortlessly sweeps everyone along with its intoxicating passion. While being a supernatural kind of movie, “New Moon” seems to be focused more on romance – too much on them. The screenplay at times can be very draggy at times, especially it involves the slow-talking Edward, but it can surely make everyone glued to their seats.

The movie soundtrack was really captivating. Notably, the song while Bella was sitting facing the window from Oct to Dec and also the upbeat songs during the chase in the forest. Besides the audio pleasure, the visual pleasures were the topless hunky werewolves and Jacob charming smile. On the vampire side, was the elegant and stylist Alice with such good fashion sense and she looked stunning while in her sports car rushing to the Volturi. Totally awesome!!

Generally, the movie won’t disappoint its superfans, nor it’ll scare away first timers. At almost two hours of runtime, “New Moon” is well categorise as romantic flick, with actions sandwiched in between. Although no comparison to its predecessor, “Twilight,” “New Moon” is certainly a movie worth spending a few bucks on. Even my boyfriend said ok despite he was feeling quite bored at the beginning of the movie. :P

2012 - Apocalypse

With the movie 2012, premiering in theaters couple of weeks ago, the speculations are bounf to get even worse.

Type "2012" into Google and more than 200,000 results that read "The End of the World," "How to Survive Armageddon, "The year that everyone will die" or "Apocalypse", etc.. Rumors about 2012 have been thrown around since Mayan times. The Mayan "Long Count" calendar ends a 5,126-year era on December 21, 2012. Apparently this equals the death of all mankind. In addition, the sun will be aligned with the Milky Way for the first time in 26,000 years. The energy, electrical waves or the cold could potentially put us in a permanent worldwide blackout (Y2K). In all honesty, if you've ever watched Armageddon Week on the History Channel some of the theories seem pretty legitimate. But let's be real, between the Middle East, global warming and the economy, I wouldn't be surprised if we all died next week. This isn't the first time there's been hysteria over the end of the world. Y2K caused quite a panic and many people thought the devil was going to either drown or freeze us all on June 6, 2006 (6/6/06). I am not very believe in 2012, but the Mayans, it's freaky how good at math they were and how many of their calculations were so accurate. Maybe 2012 either the world will end or God will come.

Let's look on the bright side: If we all are going to die in three years, we will have died under the best circumstances. We won't ever have the chance to make the big money or get married or have kids, but who really wants that anyway. It's like a blessing in disguise.

We'll have already experienced all the good stuff but won't ever have to deal with the reality of jobs, free of debts, etc.. If you've freaking out about 2012: Relax. Whether it happens or not, we'll all go through it together. For a while, I was seriously considering dropping out and traveling the world, but soon realized that if 2012 ended up being a conspiracy theory (Y2K) I'd be in big trouble. So, stay in wherever you are now, but live it up, and take comfort in knowing that if we die, we all die together. At this moment, our life still goes on, cheer up and stop worrying about this apocalypse of 2012. If it is really happen, we can't even escape! :)

This is a movie that worth to watch, anyway i am rated it 3 1/2 out of 5. Be ready there will be a super long Q for ticket. Good luck and enjoy the movie! ;)
