Isn't it so heavenly? From the place to the food here... I just couldn't 100% completely describe my feeling.. I and Steven felt extremely privileged to be invited by our wonderful friend – Melissa and her handsome hubby, David to their wedding dinner at Sage Restaurant & Wine Bar at The Gardens, Kuala Lumpur couple of weeks ago.

It was such a truly wonderful, romantic and enjoyable evening!

This well-known restaurant offers a relaxing, laid back environment where you can really enjoy great food. When the amount of patrons are few the service is just fantastic. The nighttime dinner hours present quite a nice romantic scene. Menus here vary toward more international types of food. Lamb, beef and pasta dishes are considered a steady staple here at the Sage.

The atmosphere here is wonderful, casual and relaxed but very classy, aided by the simple and uncluttered decorations. The floor-to-ceiling windows ensure plenty of natural light pours in and the simple yet classy decor lets the food and any discussion you wish to partake in at your table make the experience.


The semi-open kitchen breaks up the quiet sophistication.

Cream of Cèpe Mushroom with Sea Scallop and Truffle Oil. A cold and creamy soup with slices of raw scallop.

Crispy of Smoked Norwegian Salmon with Avruga Caviar

Roasted Marinated Cod with Foie Gras and Mushroom Raguot

Herb Crusted Lamb Rack with Aubergine Garlic Confit


Mijoté of Wagyu Beef Cheek with Mashed Potato and Red Wine Sauce. Cooked perfectly, it melted in my mouth. The mash potato was smooth and creamy, infused with truffle oil, and doused with natural meat juices.


Chocolate Torte with Almond and Vanilla Ice Cream

Mango Sorbet

Having a cuppa gree tea in this modern elegance with delectable French & Japanese nouvelle cuisin restaurant quite enjoyable! :))

Sweet Chat Cafe, a chain dessert cafes.. Which serves halal oriental desserts and fusion meals. The first outlest, which made a quite debut at Mid Valley slightly more than 3-4 years is well-received by customers.

Over 50 types of authentic local and Hong Kong desserts, light meals as well as cold and hot beverages that cater to people from all walks of life.

When it comes to Bubur Cha Cha, the accompanying ingredients should be on the bland side to each the flavoursome characteristics of the santan. Here they added jelly together with sweet potato and yum into it. I am quite satisfied!

Home Made Fish Head Noodle, Mid Valley Megamall

Home Made Fish Head Noodle is a newly opened restaurant in Mid Valley Megamall. They have another branch in Dataran Sunway, Kota Damansara.

The interior decoration is simple yet relax with green color as the restaurant theme.

The menu cover depicting their most famous signature dish - Fish Head Noodles.

Place your order here..

Customer will be given a small little glass of ginger tea as an appetizer (FOC). It tasted funny. Maybe i am still new to its taste.

3 Layers Iced Tea with milk & brown sugar (RM4.50). Quite nice!

Varieties of fish head noodles to choose: Deep Fried Fish Head Mee Hoon, Deep Fried Fish Head Yee Mee, Fresh Fish Head Mee Hoon, Fresh Fish Head Yee Mee, Deep Fried Garoupa Mee Hoon, Deep Fried Garoupa Head Yee Mee.. Etc.

I ordered a bowl of Fried Fish Head Meehoo (RM9.50). Without milk. It comes with tomatoes, salted veggies and of couse fish head. The fish head was ok. But the soup was rather too salty. I thought i was the only person who thought so, but i heard a middle age couple sitting beside us has also complained the soup too salty. The man told the waitress about this and hope she can inform this to the chef.

Steven don't like fish, he ordered Fried Hor Fun instead (RM10.80)

MATTA Fair, KL 2010

I went to MATTA Fair which held in PWTC from 3rd – 5th September 2010. There were thousands of people are pouring into PWTC for this one of the most event of the year! The travel fair comprised of halls 3, 2 and 1 at PWTC with over 890 booths. Admission fee was RM3 per visitor. The National Tourism Organizations of Australia, Korea, Taiwan, India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, Japan and Turkey have taken part in the fair too.

MATTA Fair has also offer prizes and lucky draws for buyers and visitors. We got many freebies and give away gifts from few different tourism organizations as we have bought flight tickets to Hong Kong, etc.
