♥ Love In Bangkok - Soul Therapeutic ♥

When you come to Thailand, beside go shopping and sight seeing in this paradise.. Or perhaps, a good traditional Thai massage is a MUST do activity when you visit this beautiful country!

Typically, we went for a full-on 1 hour Traditional Thai Massage. I have choosen Oil Massage at the price of RM30 and Steven choosen Traditional Thai Massage at the price RM25! It was really reasonable and cheap for such a modernly furnished centre located inside the hotel. But we prefer to do it in private. So the masseurs came to our hotel room the night before we leave this City of Angels.

Let me roughly talk about the different between Traditional Thai Massage and Oil Massage:

The Thai traditional massage will likely be a little bit more strenuous with stretches, and utilizing the fingers, thumbs, knees, elbows and feet of the person giving the massage. This type of massage may be performed on a mattress on the floor to give the masseur or masseuse the ability to move around your body to apply pressure where required. Steven suffers from bad circulation in his legs and back and in need of exercise or massage.

The Thai oil massage may be performed on a table or bed and be a bit more gentle.

If you've ever tried a thai massage in Thailand, I bet you agree that most of your typical massages includes full body pressing and bending like this.

Now this is the problem with really good oil massage. People always falls asleep during oil massage, because it's so relaxing and nice that it's impossible even to stay awake.

Btw, I was way awake when she started massaging my upper chest, an area extremely close to my...erm... chest. o.O (actually she asked me if i want her to massage my chest, i was thinking.. Why not! :))

After your massage you should experience either relaxation throughout the body or tranquillity of the mind, depending on which type of massage you selected. Tensions and concerns will evaporate, tight muscles will relax, and sometimes you may even fall asleep during the massage. With relaxed muscles, the blood circulation is improved. The body will receive more oxygen and nutrients and the immune system will be more efficient in fending off disease agents, thus lessening the chances of becoming ill. Pleasant surroundings are crucial. The most important factors are cleanliness, privacy, minimum noise level, a comfortable temperature, and good ventilation.

Hmmm.. It would be great to Soak in a hot bath with two or more cups of salts can ease the achy muscles brought to awareness by therapeutic massage. It is best to soak the day of the massage.

So I would highly recommend that when you visit Thailand to find a good massage salon and treat yourself to a relaxing, comforting experience. The massage is very affordable, and the skills of the masseuses/masseurs is second to none.
