In Seremban, there is not many restaurant selling Yong Tao Fu. Restaurant Yong Tao Fu Sam is quite famous in town. Hidden in a residential area outside from town, you might lost or miss your way if you're not familiar in Seremban road.

Lunch @ INT Restaurant... Nasi Briyani

Tucked under the low cost flats in SS13 Subang Jaya. INT Restaurant is easy to find as it is situated next to the main road of Jalan Kewajipan.
INT Restaurant.

I ordered normal white rice with tamarind fried fish, boiled egg, veggie. RM7

Long-grained, fluffy and fragrant Briyani rice cooked with loads of herbs and spices, sometimes together with your meat of choice... Chicken, mutton or beef.

My colleague took fried chicken, fried cauliflower, omelette, boiled egg and eat with his Briyani rice. The accompanying piece of chicken (the whole upper thigh was given) was not of the curried variety, but instead a simpler, but equally lip-smacking fried chicken with spices that was very tender and tasty. RM10.50

Overall Rating: 6/10
Price: Above average. A plate of Briyani rice can be RM7 (rice only).
Service: Good. Friendly.

Dinner @ Ah Ping Bah Kut Teh

I didn't realize that there is another good place for Bah Kut Teh in SS14 Subang Jaya. Ah Ping Bah Kut Teh is located same row as Yu Kee Bah Kut Teh . Ah Ping Bah Kut Teh serves both dry and soup Bah Kut Teh. I haven't try dry Bak Kut Teh before but will consider on my next visit. Personally i think when eating Bah Kut Teh, (you char kway) are a must for me with any Bah Kut Teh meal. They’re absolutely great especially if the soup is full of flavour as these babies suck up soup like a sponge.) are a must for me with any Bah Kut Teh meal. They’re absolutely great especially if the soup is full of flavour as these babies suck up soup like a sponge. Unfortunately all you char kway has been sold out on that night. :(

The herbs soup of Bah Kut Teh smells very strong and appetising, especially when it serves hot. The taste of this Bah Kut Teh soup was pretty good with accompanying ‘Daofupok’ (soft beancurds), ‘Fupei’ (beancurd sheets), goldern mushroom served with the herbal-ish and aromatic Bah Kut Teh soup. I can't stop drinking it.

When it comes to pork, we prefer lean meat and less fat.

It is excellent accompaniment to the pork meat with some good cut small chillies in soya sauce especially when mixed with some garlic.
Overall Rating: 3.5/5
Price: Reasonable. Expect around RM10-20 per person.
Ambiance: Non air conditioned.
Service: Good

Dinner @Restoran Weng Heong

While we were discussing on how to celebrate my brother - Jonathan's birthday , and since my sister's in town with her two young toddlers, my mom suggested that we should go to Restoran Weng Heong which is nearby to our place and food there simply tasty!

Chinese have the tradition of eating longevity noodles (aka long life noodles, or 长寿面, “Chang Shou Mian”) on their birthdays and special occasions such as Ren Ri 人日 (7th day of the Lunar New Year, commonly known as “everyman’s birthday”). It is believed that eating these noodles is auspicious as the long strands of noodles symbolize a long life.

I ordered this for Jonathan on his birthday. It tasted very nice. The seafood along with fresh garlic, ginger, mushroom made the flavour absolutely delicious. RM12

Thai Sweet and Spicy Chicken. So-so only. RM20 for half bird.

Tofu. RM15

Kailan. RM15. I like it as it is fresh and crunchy.

Salad Prawn. RM25. Must order! Fresh prawn and crispy.

Was rushing to get Jonathan a birthday cake. Simple and normal birthday cake. But meaningful! (of cos with birthday gifts.. :P)

Overall Rating: 4/5
Price: Above average (Our total bill - RM98.50 plus 5% service charge)
Service: Good
Ambiance: Air conditioned.

Happy Father's Day Pa Pa

Just like Mother’s Day is celebrated to honor motherhood, Father’s Day marks fatherhood to honor and commemorate our fathers and forefathers. It is a great time to let our father know we haven’t forgotten him and also show him how much we value and respect him.

On this special day gives us all an opportunity to thank and express gratitude to our fathers for all their support, love, affection and guidance throughout.

Sometimes people can have a bit of a hard time figuring out what it is that dad might like for Father’s Day. As we all know, the best gifts come directly from the heart, so we just sent him a father's Day card. On the card, everyone has put in special notes from our heart, this is included his 1 year old grandson's hand writting (actually my nephew saw a pen on the desk and accidently draw on the card) LOL..

As for us, we are slightly different from other. We are treating everyday is Father's Day. Dad started his career in Singapore since we were very young. He is always a very busy man. Busy with his work for his whole life. :P Even until now.. Never change! This is the reason we find it hard to celebrate Father's Day as he can devote his life to work 24/7. Haha! We celebrate every single day whenever we get the chance to sit down, have a good chat, joking with each other with family. Despite on that, i would like to take this opportunity to wish all the fathers HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Especially to my dad, i hope he read my blog. :) HAPPY FATHER'S DAY Pa Pa! We love you deeply and thank you for everything! You are the greatest father in the world!

With all love,

Josephine, Foong, Joanne & Jonathan

WAKA WAKA - FIFA World Cup 2010

To all hardcore world cup fans... Please check out this:
FIFA World Cup 2010

Let's kick-off the 2010 FIFA world cup together tonight! (Malaysia timezone) :D

Lunch @ Pick n Brew

It's always good to know a nice place for good food with a nice ambience. My colleague suggested to go to Pick n Brew. With me was Nigel and Eric. It’s always fun to lunch with my ravenous food bloggers friend, which means no impatient stares from non food bloggers while me and Nigel happily snapping away, no complaints.. Eric too, happily pitched in! :D
We nearly got lost on the way but luckily Nigel was using his iphone to check the GPS. It is actually in CNI Building in Glenmarie, Shah Alam. You'll be surprise that you can actually find a cafe like this one in the middle of all the warehouses and factories in this famous industrial area.

When reach the place, you will notice Pick n Brew is actually inside the CNI building. Tell the guard at the main gate and he will show you the place.

The entrance

I was pleasantly surprised to find such a soothing and comfy ambience there. A fashionable dining scene, featuring tantalizing coffee and nouvelle cuisine. The concept is Italian but not too conventional, rather a fusion that comfortably satisfies even a non-connoisseur.
There is a VIP room too, i think it can fits for 10 person I think . You can actually see though the VIP room from the glass wall.

Pick N Brew serves gourmet coffee from around the world
You will notice there are so many types of coffee beans once you step in the restaurant.

The menu

As this is our first time visit. We decided to try their All Time Set. There are 4 main course set to select. Teriyaki Chicken served with Pasta and Buttered Mix Vegetable, Herb Crusted Fish Fillet served with Mix Vegetable and Lemon, Grilled Lamb Shoulder served with Potato, Vegetable, Mint Gravy and the last one is Prawn Aglio Olio. The All Time Set includes appetizer (Salad or Soup) and drink (Coffee or Tea). Price is RM28++ per set.

Check out what we've order:

Eric ordered Teriyaki Chicken served with Pasta and Buttered Mix Vegetable. He said the herbs and teriyaki sauce is marinated very well with the chicken. Pasta served under the Teriyaki chicken, it is spaghetti cooked with olive oil.

Nigel ordered Grilled Lamb Shoulder served with Potato, Vegetable and Mint Gravy. He said he loves it. I don’t like lamb because I can’t stand the gamy smell of lamb. But i took a small bite this time, the meat was tender and the gamy smell was not very strong as the fragrant of herbs covered a lot of the gamy smell of lamb cooking.

I have order Herb Crusted Fish Fillet served with Mix Vegetable and Lemon. Served with boiled potatoes, light but fragrant capers lemon butter and roasted vegetables, the fish itself was very fresh.

Appetizer is the soup of day. No idea the soup name, i called it tomato soup.

Pick N Brew serves good coffee serves gourmet coffee from around the world. But all of us ordered the same thing. TEA. Haha.. I am not a coffee person. So obviously i would order tea. However, i will try their coffee on my next visit next time. ;)

Overall Rating: 4.5/5

Price: Expensive

Ambience: Nice. Cozy. Fashionable dining restaurant which is Italian but not too conventional, and rather a fusion.

Service: Good. Very attentive.

Dinner @ Boston又一城

I was looking for a restaurant with wifi for dinner with Joanne and mom last weekend. Mom wanted to check something on the internet. So we need a place with free wifi due to the slow internet connection at home.
We decided to dine in this restaurant called Boston 又一城 in Jusco Seremban 2. The set up and concept of this restaurant is very similar as Kim Gary and Wong Kok Resurant. very Hongkie style. Foods are nice, but a bit salty.

Cendol with Gula Melaka. Can fight with Melaka and Penang Cendol. LOL

Yang Chow Fried Rice. Joanne said nice. The rice is non sticky but crunchy.. :)

I ordered this.. Veggies with rice. No meat at all. Good recommendation to vegetarian or veggie lover.

Mom ordered this.. Another fulled veggies dish. Meehoon soup. The meehoon they served is different from the meehoon we normally eat. It is like the Tomyam Kung meehoon we have in Secret Recipe Restaurant. I like the soup.
