Dinner @ Grand Imperial Kitchen, Empire Shopping Gallery

Before going home from Mid Valley Mega Mall, we dropped by in Empire Shopping Gallery for dinner. When we arrived Grand Imperial Kitchen, the place was packed. Luckily we managed to a seat for two and straight away looked through their menu as Steven was very hungry.

I have noticed that many customers ordered set meal. 10 sets of value set menu for you to choose. Each value set meal is RM11.80++. Value set meal includes Roasted Pork Rice, Curry Chicken, Yang Chow Fried Rice, Braised Ginger Duck, Lamb Belly, Chicken Curry Noodles, BBQ Slice Pork Noodles, La Mien Soup with Preserved Vegetable and Shredded Pork and La Mien with Minced Meat with Mushroom. You can also order a la carte.

Hmm.. I am scrutinized on the menu what is nice to eat.

I ordered a value set of Yang Chow Fried Rice. All value set meal come with a fried egg. The taste was good and the prawns are fresh.

Steven ordered a value set of Honey Pork Chop Rice. He said that the honey pork chop was quite sweet.
Drink is come with the value set meal. You can either choose tea or coffee. We chosen tea. Which i find it was nice.

Overall Rating: 3.5/5
Price: Reasonable price with nice food.
Service: I wasn't too satisfy. Quite slow and messy. Maybe because they are still new as this restaurant just newly opened here.
Ambiance: Air conditioning. The restaurant isn't big. It can be noisy and pack during peak hour.

Lunch @ Restaurant Kar Heong Subang Jaya

BoldLunch with colleagues in Kar Heong Chicken Rice Shop, Subang last week.

The fresh chicken is fleshy, tender and tasty

Char Siew.. I find it quite common. But nice.

Crunchy bean sprouts

Kevin ordered a bowl of Ipoh Hor Fun. He said the noodle is soft. He seems enjoyed it.

The delicious chicken rice is fragrant and filled with the flavorful essence of chicken, pandan leaf and ginger. It is non sticky and you can taste every single of rice. Myke even had 2 1/2 bowls of chicken rice! Haha!

Nigel said he barely used the chili sauce on his chicken, because he wanted to savor every bit of its flavor. However, i think you gotto try it. Enjoy the rice with the chili sauce that is thick and spicy!

The bowl of clear broth that comes with it was quite nice.

LOVE is a CYCLE

Rojak & Cendol Bukit Cina Melaka

Cendol or Rojak stall just right beside a graveyard? You might not believe it. But it is true. I don't believe it until i watched a Chinese food programme - Ho Chiak. Me and Steven went and tried when i was in Melaka couple of weeks ago.

When we arrived, i noticed there are two Cendol stalls. One is run by a Chinese and another one is Malay. Do not make yourself confuse. Go to the Malay one.

Mee Rojak. Very different from what i had from other places. It was sweet taste, which i felt quite disgusting. Sorry to say la.. Anyway, i am sure some people will like it. Personally i just don't like it.

Again.. I thought the Cendol is nice and special, since it aired on tv. I am quite dissapointed as it was just very plain. Very few red beans and grass jelly. That's all. Don't have my fav cream corn.. Etc

Mother's Day Celebration In Kensington

It has been ages i last visited Kensington. The one that i have been last time was in Oakland, Seremban.

After so many years, i back here again.. Although i am from Seremban, but i am quite out dated on the new updates in this small town. All because i hardly hang out everytime i come back. I prefer lazying and spend more time at home.. Haha!

My sister Joanne suggested to take mom out and celebrate mother's day in Kesington. My mom loves western food! :) This time we came to Kensington's new brand in Era Square, Seremban. I was surprised to see this place became a new happening place in Seremban. :P Some called Era Square as 'lil Bangsar.. Haha.. (I know, i know.. It's so much different, but give it sometime la..) :) Ok.. Cut down all nonsenses... Let's talk about Kensington!

The menu
For appetizer, we ordered garlic bread.
Crispy Peking Duck. One of the signature dish. Must order!
Grilled Salmon. Nice!
White Fish Fillet. Not bad!Since we have ordered two fishes, so we decided to try Chicken Chop. Not very nice. The chicken meat is quite hard.
We all love this dessert! Apple Crumble. Super mad delicious!!
Happy Mother's Day! Me, Joanne and mom happily taking picture. :D

Dinner Buffet @ Tao Cuisine

Went to Tao in Kota Damansara with some colleagues on last week. We made reservation at 7pm. Traffic in Kota Damansara is hell!
Located at Kota Damansara of Selangor Darul Ehsan in Malaysia, Tao is situated on the second floor in a new shopping mall called Sunway Giza. It offers Eat All U Can Ala carte Buffet dinner and lunch.

Tao 道 Authentic Asian Cuisine's main entrance

Promotion... For those birthday is on May, you will get 50% off for dine in.

Taken to a table, we were required to put off our shoes before we take our seats. The dining area is very similar like a Japanese style. The waiter provides the menus of just four pages (hardbound) of more than 100 over dishes to choose from. From what I was told, the waiter will serve the food you selected and they will cook for you and when you are done, you can select again or another dish - basically this is like a buffet style with a service. That is not the end of it...

The menu. Many pictures to choose if you're not sure what is written on it. :P

After the main lobby/reception there is where a place you can choose/pick-up some food to eat. Like any other buffet style, there are some foods where you pick and ask the chef to cook for you. All you need is to bring along the clip that was provided to you, choose the food that you want them to cook and clip the dish. Once they done cooking a waiter will send the dish to you, Teppanyaki style. Besides that, of course there are some sushi selection meals to choose, some salad and dessert selections.

Fresh oysters

Cheesy Scallop! Highly recommended!

Taiwanese Prawn Mantis. You don't even know you're eating Prawn mantis. Haha.. Too Cripy!! Highly recommended!

Prawns, squids, smoked salmon..

Black Pepper Udon.. Yummy!

Preparing us sake

Keep the sake in hot water before served

Eight of us.. Not even one can run away. Included myself.. Haha!!

Lamb Teriyaki. Unfortunately I don’t eat lamb. The pieces of lamb were huge and I was told by colleagues it was so tender and juicy! Recommended!

Shisamo Tosa. It is kind of fish eggs fried and wrapped with sesame. I am not sure how is the taste, as i didn't eat it. Haha..

.... But my colleague said nice

This is very nice! Super crispy! The skin is similar like fried wanton skin. Inside is tuna paste.

Fukahire Chawan Mushi. Looks ordinary but tastes really good! There's the broth inside and it's also filled with shark's fin! (I think it should be the fake shark's fin but who care!)

Unagi Mushi Tofu. So-so la..

Sushi

Drinks are all refillable and the girl was nice enough to rattle every single drink on the menu for us. I think there was Iced Lemon Tea, Peach Tea, Orange, Mango, Hot and Cold Chocolate, Green Tea...

I ordered hot green tea

Tempura Moriawase. Quite common. Consists of two prawns, 1 sweet potato, 1 eggplant and 1 yam.

I really can't recall the name of this.. :( But it is super duper nice!! Highly recommended!!

The best and most gooding dish of the night, CRAB MEAT WITH CHEESE! I can't really taste any crab meat but the cheese was incredible! It was so rich and so melty...I felt so happy after eating this, haha! This is a serving for one. We ordered another two servings after that...this is really so good! Don't let the looks deceive you!

Highly recommended!! No regret but happy!! :D

Salmon Hiroyaki. I love this too! Salmon baked with cheese!! OMG!! Yummy!!

Green Tea ice cream is always my fav

Mini Cheese Tarts & Cream Puff

Pudding & Jelly
