Lunch with Steven & Minny at Yu Kee Bat Kut Teh Restaurant today. This restaurant is located in SS14/2 Subang Jaya (Opposite of Metropolitan College). Yu Kee BKT Restaurant is one of the most popular BKT restaurant in this area.
This is the first time i seen so many golden needle mushrooms (straw mushrooms or 'kum jum koo') served in every pot of BKT. We only ordered lean pork meat as 3 of us don't like 'fat pork' :P The soup is not too herby, and you can askfor extra soup which is FOC.
How can you have BKT without 'Yao Char Kway'? I love it so much, especially dip into BKT soup.
'Mak Choy'. I've no idea what it call in English. Hahaha! :P
If you are like most of us in this world, you can probably count your closest friends on one hand. So realizing that you have lost touch with all, or even one of your friends, is quite unsettling. But the fact is, time and distance have a way of putting dents in relationships that you once thought would never end. Life becomes very busy after so many reasons. Without conscious effort, work, spouse/partner, families, pets, and hobbies begin to take precedence over old friendships and become excuses as to why we don’t keep in touch. But let’s face it, our lives are fuller with friends! And although we become busier and busier every day, it’s a fact that we can be close with our friends, even if they live far away.
I'm writing it as my German good friend is leaving to Shanghai tomorrow. He has been assigned to work in KL since two years ago. We knew each other in 2007. It was in an exhibition in Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. I am very sad that i am not able to see him before his departure, although he has been asking for several times for meet up. I hope we will keep in touch and remember each other whenever we go. It doesn't matter we are being/living apart, as long as we maintain this friendship, it would be more than anything! I wish him have a happy journey towards his new role & good luck! I will surely miss him alot!
I am a Pan Mee (fresh flour noodle) lover. Steven suggested to go to Restoran Mee Papan in Kota Kemuning for dinner today. This restaurant serves all kinda Pan Mee, from Dry Pan Mee, Soup Pan Mee, Fried Pan Mee to Hokian Pan Mee.. Beside Pan Mee, they serves other local foods as well.
Dry Pan Mee tossed in dark soya sauce with Ikan Bilis (anchovy). The noodles are served al-dente with minced pork, crisp Ikan Bilis and Chinese mushroom.
We ordered this Deep Fried Dumplings for side-dish. Very crispy and it is nice to eat when it's hot and dip with the chili sauce.
Beside all that, we did ordered Yang Zhou Fried Rice. Not very nice as the rice was pretty wet and sticky. For drink, we ordered Loh Hon Goh.
Overal Rating: 3/5 Service: Good Price: Slightly expensive (RM6 for a small dry Pan Mee)

Do you love beer? Brussels Beer cafe is situated in Jaya One. The new commercial area in Petaling Jaya. Very nice and cosy place, surrounded by industry area.
We came to Brussels Beer cafe after dinner in Peramount. This Beer cafe was heavily packed with people chit-chatting and drinking beers. It was so packed, it made the Starbucks next to it look pale in comparison.
People are chit-chatting and some are enjoying their beer. I love this place as it's a cosy and nice place to hang out with friend, even though i only order a glass of juice or soft drink.. :P:P
Minny & Jolly has ordered a pint of Hoegaarden White beer draught.
I've ordered a Cranberry juice as i don't drink alcohol.. :P (What a waste, go to a beer cafe and don't order alcohol drink.. :))
Very nice decoration above the ceiling. With the roses..
When Minny finished her Hoegaarden, she ordered another glass of beer, this time is Leffe
I've been to this restaurant for duck rice several times and it's just a walking distance from my house in Taman Peramount, PJ. This roast duck stall operates only at night but you can see people lining up to buy ducks there from as early as the owner starts the business everyday.
Minny has suggested to go here for dinner last night. She wanted to show Jolly (a friend from Sabah) about this famous duck rice. We reached the place at about 6.30pm, there are already many people lined up in droves to buy roast duck.
We've ordered the whole bird with a simple plate of Acar. Waited about just 5 mins before our food is served, which is quite fast while looking at the amount of people waiting in line for their take-away.
Acar
It's one of the recommended place to go if you are craving for roast duck and want to get some for dinner as not many places in the Petaling Jaya area served better roast ducks.
